TheVillageCelebration is an online magazine dedicated to reporting stories that highlight the rich tradition of triumph, perseverance, and faith of African-Americans. Every day African-Americans are succeeding, living their dream, moving on up. And we want to share it with others.
Welcome to TheVillageCelebration. Everyone likes a good story. Victory from defeat. Good over evil. Something from nothing. Problem is... we rarely read it, hear it, or see it. The news of the day records the American experience with a broad brush, painting a picture focused on that which dominates the daily landscape. The disasters, the politics, the wars. But look closely, life is being lived in and around these headlines.

Republican Convention Gives Mitt Romney Minimal Boost
I want to congratulate you both on your success. I started mine with a cow and calf. People who have never done this can’t understand how hard and even very difficult and even heartbreaking it can be, but it is also very rewarding. May God bless you both.
Ebonics, according to Thomas Sowell, originated in Britain.

The speaker in this video is the best ambassador of the Negro League that I've ever seen. He draws me in every time he speaks, gives amazing perspective, and makes me want to find out more about this part of American sports history.

Why did you guys stop selling the Negro League caps. I brought from you and wear them with pride in the UK, explain what they mean to people over here, Black or white. Its part of all black history not just American Black history.
As long as we seem to be arguing who was the best this or the greatest that, here's a little food for thought...Ichiro Suzuki wasn't allowed to play in the major leagues until he had completed the required 7 seasons of baseball in the Japanese League. He STILL wound up with over 3000 hits and made the greatest outfield throw I ever saw and I saw Mays, Aaron, Clemente, Trout, Jones and everyone in-between. Just to add a little something to the argument...I am posting this on April 19, 2022 and this past weekend, Ichiro threw out the first pitch at a Mariners' game. The pitch registered 94mph on the radar. He wasn't a pitcher. He's almost 50 years old and has been retired for several years. How many others have we not seen and how good were they?
The simultaneous "good" to close it
Ok
Awesome video!! 🔥🔥🔥
Everyone is getting this video?
such an under reported, and important part of American history. how dare anyone deprive anyone else of the rights we are all take for granted, and, it aches to think how many great men (and women) were held back from their lifetime callings.

Good to see people not afraid of hard work and commitment . The truly seem happy . The youngins could take a lesson from these fine folk !
Amen to that and this might be the start to keeping so very many of Our People Out of the Jails, Prisons and Even Their GRAVES all too early in their lives!
May God continue to Bless them!
Another confirmation that we are going in the right direction.
After the civil war, the majority of black people became sharecroppers! As the cities grew the youngsters began to leave the farm and move to the cities. For decades the black community thrived. Because of segregation black people had to start their own businesses, their own grocery stores, their own banks. There were alot of wealthy black business owners. When daddy government stepped in and began to rip the nuclear family apart is when blacks began to slip into poverty.

When black people share their success stories, the white supremest system attacks their success. This is 2020. What are they doing today?
This isn't new for us for her to say that they know what they're doing....of course they do. How do you think this country was built?? Black farming and building is the American way.
